The secretariat will NOT take any response for related unpredictable circumstances. We highly reccomend you to finish all procedures ahead of schedule.

Instructions for online abstract submission

  • Title of abstract: 150 characters maximum.
  • Abstract body (excluding title, authors, and their institutions): 2500 characters maximum.
  • Tables and graphs should not be included in the abstract.
  • References can be included in the body of the text.

Abstract Submission System

The abstract can be saved, edited, and revised during the submission period through the abstract submission system. Please refer to the user guides below.

Notification of Acceptance

Notification of acceptance/rejection of abstracts will be sent to your e-mail address by the beginning of June 2025.

The presenting author will receive all correspondence regarding the abstract status, presentation type, date and time, via the email address registered in the abstract submission system.

Conflict of Interest

Presenting authors must state any conflict of interest (COI status). The conflict of interest policy applies not only to clinical research, but also to all medical studies including bioscience research, basic medical research, and clinical trials.

If you are required to declare a COI when registering your abstract, please follow the request below.

Admission to the Japan Society of Hepatology

Authors and co-authors within Japan are required to be members of the Liver Society. However, non-members can still register their abstracts at the time of submission. In order to have their work included in the abstract book, non-member participants will need to enroll members. We will contact non-member individuals separately to provide information on the membership enrollment at a later date.

Things to be aware about upon registration/abstract submission

  • It is your responsibility to manage the ID and password you have created. The secretariat will not able to access any information of ID/Passwords due to security reasons.
  • Please be aware that any author that cancels an abstract after acceptance notification or is absent on the day of presentation without any notice may be penalized according to the rules of the JSH society. Your understanding highly appreciated.
